Young Scot is the National Youth Information and Citizenship Agency for Scotland.
We provide young people between the ages of 11 and 26 with a mixture of information, ideas and incentives to help them become confident and active citizens.
In a nutshell this means that we give young people aged 11-26 information to help them make important decisions in their lives.
The Young Scot National Entitlement Card is a free electronic smart card for all young people aged 11 to 26. The card provides access to Scottish Government, Young Scot and local council services as well as a wide range of Scottish and European discounts. The card can also be used as proof of age through the PASS, National Proof of Age Standards Scheme.
Young Scot Extra is our service aimed at those aged 16-26. Young Scot Extra aims to provide relevant information to help young people make important decisions in their lives and make the transition to independent living.
The National Youth Information Portal is designed specifically with young people in mind. It's a way for young people still in school or under 16 to get relevant information and news, as well as features, reviews, competitions, special offers and discounts.
